Not only does Belgrade possess the uniq museum of African art in southeastern Europe, but also it is one of the most ethically impeccable collections of this kind in Europe — all objects were received as a gift or acquired and exported with permission. In addition to a permanent gallery, created on the basis of the collection of Veda Zagorac and Zdravko Pechar who presented it to the city, the Museum has an exhibition space. There are both exhibitions of modern African artists and exhibitions of social and political topics. In addition, the museum organizes walks along the district, the African festival, master classes and Swahili classes.
