Where to Eat at Night in Belgrade Pizza, Burek, and Gyros

A small but very useful guide by the end of summer — answering the pressing question: where to eat deliciously and satisfyingly after dancing at a club or hanging out with friends at a bar? In our team of world (and stomach) saviors: 24-hour bakeries, hearty gyros, and of course, pizza — creative vegetarian options and crispy oven-baked varieties.

One of the few Belgrade bakeries open 24/7 without any days off, and importantly, it’s just a 20-minute walk from the Belgrade port, «Dragstor», and the new «Karmakoma». The selection is extensive — ranging from sweet rolls and burek to various pita and pizza options, with croissants (filled with cheese and custard) being particularly praised. There are also a few tables outside where you can sit and enjoy your meal.

Gyros In City

It might not be the best gyros in Belgrade (though some might disagree), but it’s open 24/7 and is perfectly located at Republic Square. Gyros In City serves both classic and vegetarian gyros, and if you’re not a fan of Greek cuisine, there’s Serbian street food available — pljeskavica, ćevapi, and even kobasica. The seating is limited, but you’ll definitely be able to find a spot late at night.

Pizza Pizza

The cultural center Grad has been one of Belgrade’s main concert and nightlife venues for several years. Around the center, there are several spots to grab a bite or enjoy a hearty meal after a party. Our pick is the small, authentic pizzeria, Pizza Pizza. They prepare a variety of pizzas like Margherita, Capricciosa, and Picante in a large wood-fired oven — you can order a whole pizza or just a slice or two. If you prefer, you can enjoy your pizza right at the restaurant — though space is limited. Unfortunately, Pizza Pizza closes at 1 AM, but so far, there are no alternatives in Savamala.

Pizza Laganizza

A gem of the Cetinjska 15 cluster, Laganizza is a vegetarian pizzeria that moved closer to «Zaokret» earlier this year. The menu features an array of both square and classic round pizzas, including vegetarian options such as their signature pizza, which is quite unique for Belgrade. It includes not only tomatoes but also zucchini and cheese. For those who enjoy spicy food, the popular «Killer» pizza is a must-try — topped with mozzarella, hot peppers, bacon, liver sausage, and kulen (a type of spicy sausage). Prices are very reasonable, starting at 200 dinars per slice. Another highlight is their amazing pita sandwiches, which are also available in vegetarian and vegan versions. You can take your pizza to go or enjoy it at the window tables outside. Laganizza stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays — just a bit shorter than the surrounding bars. Make sure not to miss the chance to grab a bite before heading home or continuing the party at a club.

Skroz dobra

Usually, we don’t include large chains in our guides, but this one is an exception because we simply can’t overlook the main late-night spot in Belgrade. With «Skroz Dobra», it’s straightforward: numerous locations throughout the city (including within walking distance of major nightclub areas) and round-the-clock operation. You’re unlikely to find the best burek in town here, though for a hungry soul at four in the morning, any burek might just seem like the best.
