Emma

A restaurant with luxurious interiors and an excellent terrace in Dorćol, «Emma» prepares both classic «Marinara» and «Margherita» pizzas, as well as numerous original variations like the «Foresta» with porcini mushrooms, champignons, Grana Padano cheese, and truffle oil. The signature «Emma» pizza includes mozzarella, prosciutto, burrata, and cherry confit. Besides pizza, the place is renowned for its breakfasts — served here until 1:00 PM — such as frittata verde with spinach and goat cheese and Eggs Benedict with avocado and salmon.

Pietra

An authentic Neapolitan pizzeria hidden in a quiet courtyard in Vračar and listed among the Top 50 best pizzerias outside of Italy. The menu includes only pizza and cocktails. You’ll find familiar options like «Quattro Formaggi» and «Capricciosa,» as well as more original variations such as «Prosciutto con Burrata», where a whole ball of burrata rests on a bed of arugula, ham, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes. The establishment’s second pride is its cocktails. The cocktail menu consists of seven sections based on the main ingredient: there are cocktails with gin, amaro, rum, vodka, bourbon, tequila, as well as sparkling wine.

Comunale

A modern Italian restaurant located on the Sava waterfront in the Beton Hala cluster, known for its quality service, excellent food, and a recommendation from the Michelin Guide. Here, they prepare seven different types of pizza. Of particular interest are the vegan pizza with spinach, zucchini, and mushrooms, the signature «Comunale» pizza with goat cheese, prosciutto, arugula, and sun-dried tomatoes, and the pizza with Monte Veronese cheese and speck — a specialty from northern Italy. Additionally, they offer several dozen wines from around the world.

Campania

«Campania» in New Belgrade holds a certificate as an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria. The establishment boasts a proper wood-fired oven. The menu features nearly 30 varieties of the titular dish, with the dough fermenting for at least 24 hours. One of the most expensive items is the «Pizza Di Fichi» — topped with authentic buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, fig mustard, and spicy gorgonzola. For simpler options, there’s the closed calzone pizza with ham and mushrooms, and the «Romana» with anchovies, capers, and oregano.

Majstor i Margarita

Possibly the best pizzeria in Serbia. At least that’s what the compilers of the Top 50 pizzerias in Europe (outside of Italy) rating think — «Majstor i Margarita» has made it onto the list for the second year in a row. In 2022, a second location opened in Belgrade on King Alexander Boulevard. You’ll have to choose carefully — the menu offers several dozen pizzas. There are both familiar names and original recipes — for example, the «Molto» with zucchini cream, mozzarella, salsiccia (Italian sausage) from Mesara Morava, bacon, and spices, as well as a pizza collaboration with the Zagreb restaurant Franko’s — «Calabrian Red» — featuring mozzarella, marinated onions, nduja, salsiccia, chili, and basil.

Crust

A very beautiful pizzeria in the Palilula market area. The establishment features an open kitchen with a two-ton brick wood-fired oven (you can sit at the counter and watch the pizzaiolo at work). The menu is small, with half of it consisting of signature pizzas — for example, there’s an option with mascarpone, mozzarella, guanciale, and wild figs. One of Crust’s specialties is dessert pizzas, such as with mascarpone, Nutella, roasted pistachios, and chocolate.

Ciao…Andiamo

A new establishment with authentic Neapolitan pizza in the heart of Dorćol. The venue boasts a striking interior with vibrant patterns on the walls and subdued lighting in the evenings. Special attention is paid to the quality of the pizza, particularly the dough, which undergoes a 72-hour fermentation process. Be sure to try the «Antica Romana» pizza — topped with mozzarella, pecorino romano, parmesan, egg yolk emulsion, and crispy guanciale. In addition to pizza, the menu offers a good selection of breakfast options, so it’s worth stopping by in the morning as well.

Figo

The «Figo» pizzeria is located in one of the corners at the Palilula Market. The pizzas here are cooked in a real wood-fired oven, with only nine varieties available. We recommend trying the signature «Srbizza» — with urnebes, mozzarella, red onion, rosemary, and ćevapi. While waiting for your pizza, order one of the signature cocktails.

Giovanni’s

The very well-known pizzeria in the heart of the city. The pizzas are made in the Neapolitan style with high, slightly charred edges. The menu at «Giovanni’s» is short, but it only includes the very best: we recommend trying the local specialty «Friarella» with a paste made from white mushrooms, broccoli, sausages, scamorza cheese, and almonds.
